Hey guys, it’s Ro! Welcome to another Nerdy Nummies! I got SO many requests from you guys to make something from the Sims game. And I’ve been playing alot of Sims 4 lately. I love all the sim games. My avatar in the game is a culinary professional, so whenever she bakes or cooks in the kitchen it raises her fun level, and I’m even dressed as her today! :3 In the game I’ve been working hard, saving up my money.. I just got the whipped dream cupcake factory machine! I installed it in my kitchen, And it allows my character to make all these different yummy cupcake recipes. One of the recipes is a carrot cake Cupcake and that is my mum’s favorite kind of cake, so that’s what I’m going to be making today! We are going to be making carrot cake cupcakes from Sims 4! Let’s get started! 🙂 The things you will need will be… bunch of fresh carrots, one and three fourths cup of whole wheat flour, 1 cup of coconut sugar, three fourths cup of butter, 2 eggs, half a cup of honey, one and a half teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, half a teaspoon of baking soda, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, Eighth a teaspoon of ground nutmeg and, three fourths teaspoon salt. And then for our frosting things you will need will be four cups of powdered sugar, 4 ounces of light cream cheese, quarter cup of Greek yogurt, quarter teaspoon of Almond extract, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a pinch of Kosher salt, And 2 tablespoons of butter! Now Let’s put it all together! The first thing that we’re going to do is peel our carrots, this part is optional.. ..but the outside skin is a little bit bitter Then we’re going to do this to the rest of our carrots. Now taking a sharp cutting knife on top of the cutting board, I’m just going to cut off the ends. Now It’s time to grate them, I’m using a food processor, but if you don’t have a food processor, you can use a cheese grater and just grate grate grate grate, but we want four cups of carrots, it’s a lot of grating so I’m just going to speed it up by using my processor ’cause it’s got a setting for that.. *twirls carrot* In the game, you need a level three cooking skill to make these cupcakes But they’re pretty easy you don’t need to do that.. *Carrot Grinds* Hahahahaha! xD My carrots are ready I’m going to put them into a bowl and then set them off to the side! Next thing that we’re gonna do in a large Bowl over here We’re gonna whisk together our dry ingredients, gonna pour in our whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, salty salty, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg! Then using a whisk mix it all together till It’s well combined and then set it off to the side. Now we are going to mix together our wet ingredients. We are gonna whisk in honey, butter which I’ve melted in the microwave, vanilla extract, and two eggs. We’re gonna be adding the whole egg. Then whisk together until it’s well combined. You really want to get on the bottom because of the honey..We’ve got our dry ingredients, we’ve got our wet ingredients. Now we’re going to pour all of our wet ingredients into our dry ingredients! Then whisk together one more time till well combined. Our batters looking good, smelling good But there is one last step before we bake. We are going to add our four cups of grated carrots into our batter We’re going to fold them in. Our batter is ready, and now it’s time to fill our cupcakes, I’ve got a cupcake tray here in lined with a bunch of paper liners. Using a scoop, I’m going to fill each one about two-thirds full. That was not two thirds, that was too much. This recipe makes approximately 16 cupcakes. Taa-daa! Cupcakes are ready to bake I’m gonna pop these in the oven at 350 degrees and bake these for about 18 minutes. To make our homemade cream cheese frosting we’re gonna start by mixing all of the ingredients except for the powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl. Light cream cheese, Greek yogurt, our butter, salt, almond extract, and vanilla extract! Then using a hand mixer–OOPSIES! Give it a good mix, you want it to be well combined. You don’t want to see the difference between the butter the light cream cheese, or the Greek yogurt. I’m also going to be using a spatula to scrape down the sides during mixing. Now we’re going to add our powdered sugar to our cream mixture I’m going to be adding it about a half at a time So you don’t get a big *POOF*! Then mix together using the hand mixer and using the spatula to scrape down in between. Then pour in the second half and mix together one more time! This is what our frosting should look like. *Licks frosting* Mmm yeah, and taste like! Our cupcakes are fresh out of the oven I’ve given them plenty of time to cool and now it’s time to frost! In a plastic baggie, I’ve just put in our homemade cream cheese frosting with the number 2A tip at the end for a little bit more control. Just going to pipe on the top of the cupcake to cover the top Pipe in a circle outlining the cupcake all the way around and then filling in the middle.. We’re going to do this to the rest of our cupcakes and then pop them in the fridge for about five minutes to chill and set. Now it’s time for my favorite part. It’s time to decorate! Over here I’ve got some royal icing, green, and orange. We’ve got a number five tip at the end of our green bag and I’m going to first pipe the stem of A carrot to look just like the cupcakes in the game. The last decoration step we are going to be using the orange Royal icing. Again, with the number five tip it be in for a little bit more control I’m going to be piping orange triangles at the end of the stem to look like little carrots. TAA-DAA! Here are the carrot cake cupcakes that we made today from Sims 4. They are so cute and delicious!
