Puff Pastry Appetizers/Antipasti Pasta Sfoglia


Hi everyone! The holiday season is getting closer every
day, and we all know this is the busiest time of year, with too much to do and too little
time to do it, so better start thinking ahead and plan what you’re going to serve to your
family and to your guests. here are 3 very easy puff pastry appetizer
ideas that not only taste delicious but look beautiful too. but before starting I recommend you keep the
pastry as cold as possible, it will be easier to work with and the pastry will keep its
shape during baking, my first appetizer are these puff pastry shells
filled with 100 grams / 3.5 oz cream cheese, 100 grams / 3.5 oz drained, flaked tuna, 100 grams / 3.5 oz diced bell peppers, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, salt and pepper to taste Preheat your oven to 200 C (400 F). Lightly beat 1 egg and 1 tablespoon water
in a small bowl. Transfer your puff pastry sheet to a parchment-lined
baking sheet and refrigerate for about 10 minutes before proceeding. you can use a store bought puff pastry or
you can make it yourself at home but if you’re looking for an easy homemade puff pastry recipe
click the link in the description box below. Use a cookie cutter to cut out as many circles
as you can. With a smaller cutter cut almost all way through half of the rounds. lightly brush the rounds with the beaten egg, place the marked rounds on top of the
each unmarked one and lightly brush with the egg again. Refrigerate again for 10 minutes then bake
in the preheated oven 200 C (400 F) for 15 to 20 minutes or until shells are puffed
and golden. Let cool completely, then use a small pairing
knife to cut out the small discs inside the puff pastry shells and set aside. While shells are baking, mix together the
cream cheese, tuna, diced bell peppers and chopped parsley, season to taste with salt and pepper. Generously spoon the mixture into each cooled shell
and top with the set aside lids. Next, i’m going to make these cute parmesan
puff pastry flowers that taste so delicious and are incredibly easy to make. 20 grams / 0.7 oz freshly grated parmesan cheese, 10-15 black olives, pitted Unfold 1 sheet of puff pastry and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Use a round cookie cutter and cut out as many
circles as possible. Take one circle, brush with egg wash then place 5 circles around it in a flower pattern,
overlapping slightly. Brush lightly with the egg wash, sprinkle
with grated parmesan cheese and place one pitted black olive in the center of each flower. Bake in the preheated oven 200 C (400 F)
for 15 to 20 minutes, or until puffy and golden. The third and last appetizer are these beautiful basil
pesto puff pastry roses. 1 tablespoon basil pesto Unfold your sheet of puff pastry and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out circles
until all the dough is used. spoon a little pesto into the middle of each circle, and brush with egg wash all around
the outside edge. Lay three rounds of pastry in a row, overlapping
slightly, then carefully roll the row into a tube shape. refrigerate for about 10 minutes before proceeding. Using a sharp knife cut the tube in half to
create two roses. Brush lightly with egg and bake in the preheated
oven 200 C (400 F) for 15 to 20 minutes until puffed and golden. Super easy, yet so elegant and so delicious
