Okay, we can make a border on the edge of
our cake, and there’s a couple of ways to do it. In this way, I’m going to take a very
small cookie cutter, and I’m going to cut lots of little hearts out of different colors.
Now you can use a knife or a toothpick to poke any shapes out of a cookie cutter. And
if you make lots and lots, just roll out the different colors and make lots of the same
shape. And then you can use it to put repeat all the way around the cake, and you can use
that to cover the border. If you made it a little messy on the side, you can use it cover
up your mistakes. And also you can use it to add color, and just a pretty design to
your cake. And I’ll show you up here. So we’ll put our little hearts all around the border
of the cake.
Now if they’re not sticking, you can add just a tiny amount of water along the edge, and
then add… then put the fondant shapes onto the cake – if you find that they’re not sticking
