  1. Anyone try the knit pattern of this? I am new to knitting but I swear the beginning of the pattern makes no sense! How can you get a ribbing if it is asking you to repeat "last 2 rows". I thought a rib stitch is created by repeating the k1.p1 or k2p2 each row. This pattern has you alternating from k2p2 to p2k2. Any knitters that can help me with this?

  2. Actually if you pull lightly on the knot, or use a needle on the knot for the pompom, it comes loose so you have ALL the string to use.

  3. Are the two patterns interchangeable? Can I crochet a caron cupcake beanie out of one of these cakes even if the caron cupcake beanie pattern is a knit pattern?

  4. I have never crocheted before and I thought this was for beginners because that is what It said on the website but when I tried to do the first step mine turned out in a thin straight line not a thick circle so I don’t know what to do with all of the rest of the yarn

  5. Great tutorial. Glad you mentioned how to deal with the pom Pom. However the sizes were so off. I did the 10 yr old size and it literally looked like a bowl after I finished it πŸ˜‚

  6. I can't thank you enough for doing these videos! I'm a very visual learner and your vids are fabulous. I have many beautifully illustrated crochet pattern books and I could NEVER figure it out but a girlfriend of mine suggested YouTube videos a few years ago and it changed my yarn game forever.

  7. I used a 3.5mm hook and I was able to make one size 10 and one size 8 with just enough yarn left over to make a second pompom! Great deal!
