Banana Yogurt Upside Down Cake | Homemade Food by Amanda

Hey guys, this is Amanda. If you have a lot of ripe bananas at home just like me, today’s recipe is perfect for that! We’re going to make a banana upside-down cake. Super easy and if you liked this video
don’t forget to give it a thumbs up. Now let’s go over the ingredients. For the full recipe please visit FoodbyAmanda.com For the caramel layer, you will need
some brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and bananas. For the cake batter, you will need some butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, cake flour, baking powder,
baking soda, salt, yogurt and bananas. First thing we’re going to do is to
preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degree Fahrenheit Let’s start by making the caramel layer. Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well with a fork. Pour the caramel over a 20 by 20
centimetres baking pan. Spread them evenly. I’m going to cut two bananas in
half. Line the half bananas into the baking pan. Set them aside. Now we’re going to mash two more bananas. If your bananas are very ripe it’s easier to do it. Now we’re going to make the cake batter in a large bowl. Add the butter that has been softened at room temperature and the granulated sugar. Cream them well with the spatula. Add the egg, vanilla extract and the
yogurt. Mix everything well until combined. Add all the mashed bananas and mix them into the wet ingredients. It’s time to add all the dry ingredients. Mix them just until you can’t see any flour because we don’t want to overwork the
batter. Pour the batter into the baking pan. Smooth the batter out using the spatula. Bake the cake for about 35 to 40 minutes. Allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes. Run through the edge of the cake with a knife while it’s still warm. Place a serving plate on top of the baking pan and flip it over. Give it a gentle tap if it’s needed then remove the baking pan. Make sure to do this while the cake is still warm! This cake smells so amazing when it
comes out of the oven because of the cinnamon, the caramel, and of course the
bananas. And it tastes amazing of course! I gave my sister a piece and she
finished it like within three minutes. Please don’t forget to subscribe to my
