Which is served as cold drink, It is in different flavor as keshar, pista, almond etc. Let’s make that today. Last year for Kojagiri pournima we had seen how to make proper masala dudh. Made masala at home & saw how to make thick, flavorful milk. Today let’s see how to make street style, cold drink style cold milk. It turns out nice. You can make it at home. You can try this a little variation this kojagiri. You can serve it cold. You can make it before hand. You also can serve it hot. I have already heated up 2 cups milk in a pan. Malai is floating. You can make out from that. You can either remove the malai or let it be in it. Malai gives a little rich taste. So I try to keep malai in it. Mix well. Add chopped almonds in milk. Add chopped cashew nuts. Add about 3 tsp sugar. Add safforn. Adding saffron is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want. Simmer everything for another 4-5 minutes. Add charoli too in this. I forgot to tell. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes. After simmering everything for about 5-7 minutes, take cold milk in a bowl or katori Add 3 tsp custard powder in it. Try to mix it in cold milk so that no lumps are formed. Mix it well. No lumps of custard powder should be formed. Mix this a little at a time in the milk. Do not all the mixture at a time. Or lumps may be formed. Add a little at a time & mix well. You can add that much custard depending on how much thick milk you want. Do not make too thick. Or milk will get that custard flavor. Do don’t want like that. Simmer milk for another 3-4 minutes. Turn off the gas & our street style cold drink is already. It has got nice consistency. You can see the dry fruits. Nice color. Perfect same color, texture & consistency as we get milk on street. Same flovor too. How to serve this? As I told, if you are making for kojagiri then serve hot as it is. This is a perfect variation for masala dudh. You can make & store it in freeze. Sever cold in the evening. You get small bottles. You can serve milk in it with straws. It looks nice too. This is a nice variation for kojagiri. Do try this. I have cooled down the milk a little. You can see texture, consistency. It is just perfect. This milk is perfectly thick.
